The Cities of Literature collaborate on a number of shared projects each year. These projects build bridges between our cities and strengthen our global network.

WORLD POETRY DAY
21 March is designated by UNESCO as World Poetry Day. The Cities of Literature Network celebrates each year by creating programming that highlights our cities' unique poetry scenes. Learn more.
SLAMOVISION
Slamovision is a fun spoken word riff of the Eurovision Song Contest. Participating Cities of Literature organize a competition to pick their entry.
Each entry is a slam poem, which may be written and performed in any language. Learn more.


INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY
International Mother Language Day, which takes place on 21st February each year, promotes unity in diversity and international understanding through multilingualism and multiculturalism.
